With David Moyes slowly turning things around at Sunderland, the question of how long he should stay there is a simple one.
In terms of getting the rough end of a deal, nobody has had it much worse than David Moyes. Whether it was being thrust into a position at Old Trafford that nobody could have prepared him for or an ill-advised tenure abroad, it looked as if the Scot would never be able to rectify his once great reputation.
But now, it seems like things may finally be looking up. As Sunderland boss, Moyes is starting to slowly turn the fortunes of the team around much earlier than they are used to in a Premier League campaign. Because of this success, many are left to wonder just how long he will remain.
The answer is simple – until they fire him. Moyes now has a second chance at continuing on with his legacy, much like he could have done at Everton had he not gone to United.

If the 53-year-old can sustain The Black Cats’ top flight status for a few years, there will be a real chance for him to thrive with a solid financial backing coupled with a strong fan base.
But if the inevitable happens and another big side come in for him, Moyes needs to learn from his mistakes.
