Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to question Christopher Jullien’s involvement in Celtic’s controversial trip to Dubai.
As you may know, Neil Lennon took his side to Dubai for ‘performance reasons’ recently, bringing the 27-year-old Frenchman along too.
That happened despite the fact Jullien suffered a serious knee injury against Dundee United on December 30th.
In that respect, what sort of performance-related benefits would there have been in bringing the centre-back to Dubai?
That seems to be what Sutton is questioning, and he’s spot on to do so.
To make matters worse, Jullien has tested positive for COVID-19 since returning to Glasgow.

In a statement released by Celtic, the Bhoys say that their No.2 could’ve contracted the virus back in Scotland.
The ex-Celtic and Chelsea striker takes objection to that in a video for BT Sport, saying that, while that’s all well and good, Jullien also could’ve caught Coronavirus in Dubai.
At the beginning of his video, Sutton labels the statement as an ‘utter embarrassment’.
In truth, it’s hard to see it as anything else.

Tensions at Celtic Park were running high anyway due to the club’s poor Scottish Premiership form.
Lennon and the squad’s trip to Dubai has only intensified the ill-feeling around the club – it was such a bad decision from everyone involved.
