The Blackpool winger has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Arsenal but his best bet would be a move to Aston Villa.

According to a recent report from the Sun, Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Blackpool youngster Bright Osayi-Samuel, with Arsenal, Everton and Aston Villa also said to be keeping a close eye on the player’s progress.

But while the bright lights of the Premier League are hard to ignore, the 19-year-old would be wise to pay particularly close attention to any Villa offer that comes his way this summer.

It remains to be seen if Villa manager Steve Bruce will back up his alleged interest with a concrete offer for the right winger in the close season, but it would be smart for all concerned if Osayi-Samuel moved to Villa Park when he does eventually leave Blackpool.

He would be hard pressed to make a mark at Tottenham or Arsenal in the short term while Everton are going to significantly strengthen again this summer.

Villa are set for at least one more year in the Championship and, when you consider Osayi-Samuel is currently playing in League Two, it would be far less of a step up than being propelled immediately into the top flight.

General view of Villa Park

Villa are heading in the right direction under Bruce but they still need more effective wide options and Osayi-Samuel would get game time there; something he is not guaranteed at any of his top flight suitors.

If Villa then go up in 2018, the player could get his wish to play Premier League football at a club where he can really fulfil his potential.
