The Burnley player is said to be valued at just £10million and he was linked with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer.

Burnley's Andre Gray

According to a report from the Mirror, Burnley are willing to sell Andre Gray for just £10million this summer, with Everton currently interested in the forward, but for that price Tottenham Hotspur should be pulling out all the stops to secure a deal.

After all, it was only two months ago that the Daily Mail claimed Spurs wanted to bring Gray to North London as support for top-scorer Harry Kane, and with Mauricio Pochettino’s side in desperate need of another quality attacker, Gray fits the bill on practically every conceivable level.

Most importantly, he knows how to score in the Premier League, while at 26 he is arguably reaching his peak.

Then there is the fact that it is almost impossible to sign an English striker in the prime of their career for anything close to the £10million Burnley are asking for.

With just a year left on his current contract, Gray’s situation means the Clarets have to limit their expectations when it comes to the player’s price tag, and Tottenham should be taking advantage of that before Everton beat them to the punch.

Burnley's Andre Gray celebrates scoring their first goal

Gray has scored 33 goals and provided 11 assists in 78 matches for Burnley and he has the talent to be a success at Tottenham, giving them greater strength in depth up front and ensuring they do not fall short when Kane and Heung-min Son are unavailable, as the latter will be for the start of the next campaign.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy loves a bargain, and for £10million Gray is certainly that.
