Tottenham Hotspur have not been able to bring in some of their January targets so far.

It is bizarre why Tottenham Hotspur are not moving for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez, considering the other players they have been linked with this month.
Spurs are said to want David Neres and Malcom, but neither of the pair even offer a much cheaper option than Mahrez.
Bordeaux have ruled out selling Malcom this month, and were looking for a sizeable fee for the young Brazilian anyway.

Neres, meanwhile, will cost £44 million to sign from Ajax, according to Goal.com, which would make him a major gamble.
It, therefore, makes very little sense why Spurs are not moving for Mahrez.
Granted, Malcom and Neres are likely to be cheaper in terms of wages, but Mahrez would only cost marginally more than the younger pair and he is a proven Premier League star.

The Algerian is very much back to his best at Leicester, and he would add so much to Tottenham, if he was to join.
With Spurs locked in a battle for a top four place, a player of Mahrez’s quality could be a real difference maker.
And it makes no sense why Tottenham are not at least testing Leicester’s resolve by making a sizeable bid for the fleet-footed winger.
