Whose number did Ronaldo take at Al-Nassr? Many have asked Google after rumours emerged that Al-Nassr fired someone to free up the No.7 shirt.
CR7 – as he is commercially known – was unsurprisingly given the No.7 shirt after shaking hands on a £173m-a-year deal to play for the Saudi Pro League side, the same number he wore at Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus.
So, whose number did Ronaldo take at Al-Nassr? And were they sacked? Let’s take a look…
Whose number did Ronaldo take at Al-Nassr?
Well, the rumours are not true – Ronaldo didn’t get anybody sacked in order to have the No.7 shirt.
The Portugal international did, however, take it from someone.

Jallolidin Masharipov, who plays as a winger at Al-Nassr, has been forced to change his shirt number to No.77 following the arrival of Ronaldo, although he is still contracted to the Saudi Pro League side.
The Uzbekistan international only scored two goals in 26 appearances last season, so he probably didn’t have much of a leg to stand on in the fight for the No.7 shirt.
How much is Ronaldo earning in Saudi Arabia?
As aforesaid, Ronaldo will receive £173m-a-year in Saudi Arabia, as detailed by the Evening Standard.

Ronaldo first match for Al-Nassr
Ronaldo could have been playing his first match for Al-Nassr today against Al-Ta’ee.
However, the 37-year-old must serve a two-game ban from the English Football Association following a charge of improper and violent conduct, after he slapped a phone out of a 14-year-old’s hand.
The Portugal international also received a £50,000 fine.
Ronaldo will also miss the Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Shabab, but is set to make his debut for Al-Nassr on January 22nd against Ettifaq.
