Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Havard Nordtveit is expected to arrive on a free transfer, replacing Song, whose loan reportedly will not be renewed. A new centre forward is likely to top Bilic’s wishlist – despite the recent revival of Andy Carroll. The Hammers are a little short of senior right-backs, though as in other areas they do have several capable youngsters ready to step up.
