11 players are set to depart Nottingham Forest this summer, with more in line to follow.
Nottingham Forest fans’ attentions have long since turned to next season.
The Reds are currently 17th in the Championship and managerless, while uncertainty surrounds the future of controversial owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi.
Mass changes are anticipated at the City Ground this summer, starting with these possible departures:
Out of contract: Kelvin Wilson, Andy Reid, Robert Tesche, Chris Burke, Deimantas Petravicius.
Expiring loan deals: Nelson Oliveira, Chris O’Grady, Federico Macheda, Ryan Mendes, Gary Gardner, Bojan Jokic.
Arrivals
Loan returns: Jamie Paterson, Chris Burke, Tyler Walker, Lars Veldwijk
Contracted players
Goalkeepers: Dorus De Vries, Dimitar Evtimov.
Defenders: Eric Lihaj, Matt Mills, Michael Mancienne, Jack Hobbs, Daniel Pinillos, Danny Fox.
Midfielders: David Vaughan, Henri Lansbury, Chris Cohen, Jamie Paterson, Oliver Burke, Ben Osborn, Jorge Grant.
Forwards: Dexter Blackstock, Matty Fryatt, Britt Assombalonga, Jamie Ward, Tyler Walker, Lars Veldwijk.
Areas in need of attention?
A new centre-back to replace Wilson’s likely departure, with improvements required in midfield, out wide and in attack. Cover for Lichaj at right-back wouldn’t go amiss, although Mancienne can play there. Veldwijk will likely be moved on if a buyer is found, but Paterson may be handed a clean slate.
