Areas in need of attention?
Perhaps more than anything, City’s squad requires a lift and the arrival of Guardiola should deliver that. But the Spaniard will no doubt want to add to his squad, recruiting players who will adhere to a variety of his systems. A new centre-back and central midfielder are likely to feature highly on his list given Kompany’s injury record and Toure’s apparent lack of interest ahead of a possible summer exit. It may also be time to consider upgrades at full-back, on the wings and up front. Are Jesus Navas and Wilfried Bony good enough?
