An Arsenal legend has taken great satisfaction in Tottenham Hotspur’s woes.

Spurs lost 2-1 at Leicester City this afternoon due to James Maddison’s 87th-minute winner.

Tottenham were leading for much of the game after Harry Kane’s first-half opener, before VAR chalked off a second through Serge Aurier after Son Heung-min was adjudged to have been offside in the build-up.

Ricardo Pereira then equalised for Leicester with 20 minutes to go, before Maddison’s sucker punch stunned Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

It goes without saying that there isn’t much love lost between Tottenham and Arsenal, two North London rivals, and here’s how Gunners legend Lee Dixon reacted to Maddison’s strike.

If Liverpool win away to Chelsea tomorrow, Tottenham will be 10 points behind the Premier League leaders.

Considering their expenditure during the summer and the fact that Spurs reached the Champions League final last season, it’ll be massively disappointing to be so far behind this early in the season.
