In terms of the Premier League’s most creative midfielder last season, Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas tops the list in terms of assists.
He was superb in his first season with the Blues after moving to Stamford Bridge last summer, when an Arsenal return looked likely.
However, the Gunners coped and Santi Cazorla also ranked well in terms of assists, showing why he’s so important to the forward play of Arsene Wenger’s team.
West Bromwich Albion’s Chris Brunt also ranked well for assists though he was down in terms of big chances created and the number of successful passes he played in the final third.
Liverpool, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are all represented, with Erik Lamela one of the more surprising names on the list, with five more assists than Spurs teammate Christian Eriksen.
The key question is going to be whether Fabregas can replicate the form he showed this season and deal with further challenges as teams design ways to take him out of games.
