Several Leeds United’s players featured in terms of creativity last season.

One of the key strengths of the current Leeds United squad is the attacking talent and potential they have in their youngsters and some more experienced professionals.

Leeds struggled with width at times last season but their key players worked hard to ensure that chances were created regularly to give the side the best possible chance of winning games of football.

Neil Redfearn was one of three managers used by the club last season and there were always going to be challenges in terms of creativity with different styles and sets of players used.

In terms of assists, two players share the title having accumulated the most for Leeds last season; Souleymane Doukara and former defender Stephen Warnock.

In terms of big chances created by Leeds players, Sam Byram and striker Steve Morison lead the way.

Byram also ranks well in terms of accurate passes with talented youngster Alex Mowatt the leading player in that area.

It all seems a little sporadic, but hopefully with the right decisions made over the summer, a positive pre-season and some consistency in terms of Neil Redfearn, the figures will improve substantially next year.

What it does show is that Leeds don’t appear to have an over reliance on one player, complementing the team spirit and willingness of the squad to fight for each other.
