Throughout the Knicks’ championship run, Timothee Chalamet has looked less like a celebrity guest and more like part of the franchise family.

That feeling continued at the parade.

Kylie Jenner was not part of the celebration, but Chalamet was hardly riding alone.

Timothee Chalamet joins Knicks legends on parade float

Chalamet was spotted on a special Knicks parade bus during Thursday’s championship celebration, riding with former players, franchise icons and famous fans as the city celebrated its first NBA title since 1973.

The most viral moment came alongside former Knicks guard Stephon Marbury, with the pair dancing on the bus while Biggie played during the celebration.

“Former NY Knick Stephon Marbury and Timothee Chalamet gettin jiggy to Biggie on the parade bus. New York Knicks got the atmosphere in NYC lit!”

NBC coverage also identified a packed ride featuring Walt “Clyde” Frazier, Bernard King, John Starks, Ben Stiller, Larry Johnson, Edie Falco and others. It was the kind of guest list that made the bus feel like a moving Knicks museum, with Chalamet placed right in the middle of it.

Page Six reported that Kylie Jenner did not attend the star-studded parade, despite appearing with Chalamet at multiple Knicks games during the playoff run. That made the actor’s solo appearance stand out even more, especially as he high-fived fans, joined the bus and addressed the crowd on a microphone.

Knicks parade confirms Timothee Chalamet fan status

Chalamet’s presence was not random celebrity placement. He has been visible throughout the Knicks’ run, from courtside playoff appearances to traveling to San Antonio for Game 5, where New York beat the Spurs and ended a 53-year championship drought.

After the clincher, he celebrated with Knicks players in the locker room and later partied with members of the roster back in New York. Page Six even quoted one insider saying it felt like he was part of the team.

That explains why his parade role worked. Chalamet was not simply waving from a float. He was riding with Knicks history, next to legends such as Frazier, King, Starks and Marbury, while fellow superfans like Stiller helped connect Hollywood to the Garden crowd.

The parade itself ran through the Canyon of Heroes and finished at City Hall, where New York honored the champions after their first title parade in franchise history.

Jenner’s absence made the celebrity angle obvious, but the bigger story was Chalamet’s place in the Knicks celebration. For one day, he was not just an actor who loves the team. He was part of New York basketball’s championship scene.
