Aston Villa and Everton are reportedly locked in a battle for highly-rated winger Mahmoud Trezeguet.
Since Aston Villa’s return to the Premier League, they have been very ambitious and forward-thinking in the transfer market, as they are now seemingly going to battle with Everton for Mahmoud Trezeguet.
The Mirror have claimed that Kasimpasa winger Trezeguet is now attracting interest from Everton, with the 24-year-old being a top target for newly-promoted Aston Villa.
Trezeguet recently competed in the Africa Cup of Nations for his home country of Egpyt, who suffered an early knockout, but it seems his individual performances impressed those in the Midlands and on Merseyside.
Given that Premier League football could be on the table for the Egyptian, it would be hard to turn such an offer down, but which team should he pick?
The versatile attacker, who is known for his lightning speed and ability to beat players on the ball, should pick Villa over Everton because he would more than likely be given more game time – a recent report [KingFut] stated that he was a better dribbler than the likes of Jadon Sancho & Eden Hazard last season.
At Goodison Park, there are the likes of Richarlison, Bernard, Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman all trying to vie for a starting birth, but at Villa Park, they are more in need of some wide players.
At this moment in time, Anwar El Ghazi, youngster Andre Green, and Jota will be fighting for places on the flanks, as forward Jonathan Kodjia has been playing on the wings under Dean Smith.
Added with that, in terms of settling in, he would find it much easier at Villa because his international teammate, Ahmed Elmohamady is at the club and he is a regular under Smith.
That in itself is very vital and could sway his decision because sometimes a players off-the-field problems and struggles to settle in can affect what happens on the pitch.
