Florent Indalecio is training with Newcastle on trial according to the Chronicle.
He has apparently caught the eye with an overhead kick in training and played in Under 23 matches.
What do we know about Indalecio?
Who is Florent Indalecio?
He is a 23-year-old player who was on the books at Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne.
Training with Newcastle marks his return to European football after a spell in Australia with Fraser Park FC.
He apparently left the French club because of bad behaviour, with the ASSE News feed claiming he said: “I had bad behaviour, I was a rowdy and cheeky student. I was fired from the centre two weeks before the end of the course.
“The coaches did not want to keep me, football was not enough. I was too young, and at that time I didn’t realise it.”
Newcastle are looking to see if there’s a player in there worth taking a chance on.

What position does Indalecio play?
Indalecio is a number 10 primarily, and the overhead kick he scored in training hints at the flair he could bring to Newcastle.
Perhaps Steve Bruce has ideas about where he could use the Frenchman, or is simply looking to assess his talent.
Would he be a good signing for Newcastle?
We all know there are talented players who don’t get the breaks at youth level for whatever reason.
It appears that Indalecio has accepted he made mistakes as a young player and is looking to make up for lost time.
What an opportunity it would be if he could make the grade at a Premier League club.
At 23, he should be developed enough physically to play in the first team if Bruce feels he’s got the ability.
There are plenty of quality players who fall through the cracks and Newcastle will be hoping they can pick one up.
He can’t be expected to come in and transform Newcastle, but he might be worth a punt as a free transfer.
