Leeds United are one of the clubs being credited with an interest in the Serbian midfielder, Nemanja Radoja, by Teamtalk.
But what do those of a Leeds persuasion need to know about the player, who is far from a household name?
Here are five things to get them up to speed…
What sort of player is he?
A 6ft-plus defensive midfielder, Radoja’s strengths include dribbling and concentration, according to WhoScored. His career goals and assists tally of 12 in 215 club matches gives a clear indication of where his priorities lie.
What’s his backstory?
Radoja began his professional career with FK Vojvodina in his native Serbia, before joining Celta Vigo in 2014. But after 146 appearances for the Galician side, the 26-year-old opted to leave at the end of his contract last season.
He nearly joined Aston Villa in January…
According to El Desmarque, a move to Villa Park was agreed for Radoja, but collapsed over his failure to gain a work permit, having only played twice for his country. Teamtalk reports, however, that Radoja is understood to have an EU passport.
Are Leeds the only ones keen?
Teamtalk claims that Radoja is also interesting a pair of Premier League sides, West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion. Still, first-team opportunities could yet influence any decision Radoja has to make – and Leeds could have the upper hand there.
Tell us something else…

According to Transfermarkt, Radoja is represented by the Stellar Football agency, who already have Leeds players, Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford and Eddie Nketia, as well as Kyle Bartley and Daniel James (who previously played for and came close to joining the Whites, respectively) on their books.
