Sheffield Wednesday are said to be hoping to loan the Fulham player.

Sheffield Wednesday are in talks to sign the Fulham attacking midfielder, Neekens Kebano, on loan, according to the Star.
But what do Owls fans need to know about Kebano?
HITC Sport answers those all-important questions…
Neeskens, like Johan Neeskens?
Yes! Despite his own Congolese background, Kebano’s father was apparently a fan of the legendary Dutch footballer. It’s a name that hasn’t held back the 26-year-old, who in 2004 was plucked from the renowned Clairefontaine academy by Paris Saint-Germain. Although he failed to make the grade at the Parc des Princes, Kebano got his career back on track with the Belgian sides, Charleroi and Genk – whom Fulham paid £3.8 million to sign him two-and-a-half-years ago.

What sort of player is he?
Diminutive, quick and skilful. But while Kebano does have some experience as a winger, it is through the middle of the park that he appears the most comfortable. Many of his nine Fulham goals have arrived following late runs into the 18-yard box.
Hasn’t he scored against Sheffield Wednesday before?
Yes – twice during the 2016-17 season finale at Hillsborough, before which both the Owls and Fulham (effectively) had already secured a place in the play-offs. The first came after one of those trademark late runs; the second being a near-post header from an in-swinging free-kick.

Could he play against Chelsea?
No. Kebano played 74 minutes of Fulham’s FA Cup third round defeat against Oldham Athletic this month – one of only five appearances for the DR Congo international all season – and is therefore ineligible to feature for Wednesday in the same competition this campaign. Should his move go through beforehand, he is likely to join Michael Hector in the stands at Stamford Bridge.
What are the chances of Sheffield Wednesday doing a permanent deal?
Although technically out of contract this summer, Kebano’s deal can be extended by a further 12 months should Fulham wish to do so. That would allow the Cottagers to demand a fee for the player, which could put him out of the Owls’ reach.
