AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - MARCH 11: (BILD ZEITUNG OUT) Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu of BSC Young Boys looks on during the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 First Leg match between Ajax and BSC Young Boys at Johan Cruijff Arena on March 11, 2021 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Rangers hope to keep hold of Ryan Kent. Leeds United hope to sign him; that means both clubs may have to look at other wingers.

The Scottish Sun claim that Leeds are plotting a £15million move for Kent this summer, but Give Me Sport suggest that Rangers are confident he will stay.

Rangers would be wise to have potential replacements in mind though, and Leeds should be looking at other wide men in case they can’t tempt Rangers into selling Kent.

TEAMtalk now claim that the two sides are looking to sign Young Boys winger Moumi Ngamaleu, with a host of other teams interest.

Fans may not be too aware of Ngamaleu, so just who is the winger being tracked by both Leeds and Rangers?

Ngamaleu came through with Coton Sport in his native Cameroon, making his debut at just 17 before his record of 33 goals in 67 games saw him join Austrian side SCR Altach in 2016.

After just a year there, Young Boys swooped in to sign Ngamaleu, and he has been excelling in Switzerland ever since.

In 166 games for Young Boys, Ngamaleu has been hugely productive, racking up 32 goals an 35 assists, whilst he also has two goals in 14 aps for Cameroon.

What kind of player is Ngamelu? Well, he has blistering pace and predominantly plays on the left flank, cutting inside onto his right foot – just like Kent.

He has shown that he can make good decisions in the final third, and that – combined with his pace – makes him a threat to any defence.

The problem would be that Ngamaleu turns 27 this summer, and Kent doesn’t turn 25 until November.

He may be a signing that doesn’t offer great resale value, and that’s something that Rangers and Leeds will both have to consider.

Still, with his pace and end product, Ngamaleu certainly deserves these rumours, and a potential move this summer.
