Leeds United are one of a number of sides said to be tracking the player, who was approached by Premier League Fulham in January.

Luca Murphy is the latest player linked with a move to Leeds United (Teamtalk).
But who exactly is the prospective Leeds signing (who should not be confused with the former Whites midfielder of a similar name)?
HITC Sport has the lowdown…
What’s his background?
The north east native was born on 25 September, 2001, and signed for Hartlepool United just before his ninth birthday. He impressed in the Monkey Hangers’ youth ranks, but failed to make a senior appearance.
What sort of player is he?
Murphy is described on Hartlepool’s official site as being “(c)omfortable on the ball and able to play with either foot, he’s athletic, confident and rarely fazed”.
What’s his situation?
Teamtalk say Murphy has since left Hartlepool by mutual consent, and is free to sign for a club of his choosing. The website state the Conference side failed to agree a professional contract with the player and, knowing they would not be due compensation as a result of their non-league status, have freed him from his deal three months early.
Is it true he could have been a Premier League player now?
Teamtalk claim that a January move to Fulham failed to materialise for Murphy, whose ‘liking’ of the following tweet suggests there was substance to the rumour.
Who else are Leeds battling for his signature?
According to Teamtalk, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Leicester City, Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the top-flight clubs keen on Murphy, along with Middlesbrough, Brentford, Sheffield United, Barnsley and Sunderland from the Football League.

Would Murphy be a good addition for Leeds United?
