Luxembourg are at it again.

Just days after beating Ireland 1-0 in Dublin, Luxembourg are in action again tonight, this time taking on Portugal.

They took a stunning lead in tonight’s game, as Gerson Rodrigues fired the hosts in front before Diogo Jota levelled the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo firing Portugal ahead.

Rodrigues is a relative unknown to many, but he’s suddenly taking the world by storm having hit the headlines over the last week.

So just who is Rodrigues? Well, people who play FIFA may well know all about Rodrigues, because he is pretty much unstoppable.

Rodrigues stands at a huge 6ft 3in, combining that with 91 Sprint Speed, 90 Strength and 85 Acceleration. In FIFA circles, be’s become known as a budget Adama Traore!

We can’t blame you if you haven’t heard of Rodrigues; he started his career with Metz before heading to Luxembourg with Swift Hesperange, Racing FC and Fola Esch.

This is where his career gets pretty wild. He headed off to Telstar in the Netherlands, then Sheriff Tiraspopl in Moldova before jetting to Japan with Jubilo Iwata.

In 2019, Rodrigues – who can play up front or out wide – earned his biggest move to date as he remarkably joined Dynamo Kiev, then joining Ankaragucu on loan this season.

Rodrigues is a complete nomad, finding himself in all corners of the globe in search of a permanent home – something he’s yet to find.

Even internationally, Rodrigues was born in Portugal but chose to play for Luxembourg in 2017, meaning tonight’s goal against his home country is quite incredible.

Rodrigues is making a real name for himself in this international break, and who knows – maybe a team will see some real potential in him and attempt to sign him this summer off the back of his stunning displays in recent days.
