Porto’s Fernando Fonesca is the latest right-back linked with a move to Celtic, courtesy of the Sun.

What sort of full-back would Celtic be getting?
An offensive one, certainly. Youtube clips show Fonesca, who stands at around 6ft tall, receiving the ball in high areas, playing forward passes and putting in crosses, while Whoscored.com lists ‘dribbling’ as a strength and adds that he ‘likes to dribble’.
He’s not 22 until March, so how much experience does Fonseca have?
Very little with Porto, whose first team he has played for just once so far. He did, however, spend the whole of last season on loan to Estoril, for whom he played 19 times in the Portuguese top flight. He has also been capped by Portugal at various youth levels up to and including the Seleção‘s Under-23s.
How’s he doing this campaign?
According to Transfermarkt, he’s made just three appearances for Porto’s B team. Should he move to Celtic, there would be (justifiable) doubts over his ability to hit the ground running.
Juventus wanted him?
It was reported so, yes. O Jogo claimed the Italian giants wanted Fonseca in the summer transfer window but could not reach an agreement with Porto, with whom they had sought a loan-to-buy deal.
How much is he likely to cost Celtic?
The Sun suggest a fee of no more than £2 million. It seems to fit, given that Fonseca recently entered the final 18 months of his contract – not to mention his lack of notable action of late.
