One may wonder who exactly Stockard is. Well, for starters, she’s the 2025 Miss America. But her love story with Kessler started way before that.
In fact, it was Kessler’s mom, who is at the center of it all. As Kessler once revealed, his mother, at the end of his rookie year, during an Alabama vs. Auburn game, showed him a picture of a random girl.
The girl? It was Abbie Stockard. A few weeks later, after talking to Bruce Pearl, the then-head coach of the Auburn basketball program, Kessler’s mom urged him to talk to Stockard.
Kessler gave in to the pressure from his mother and decided to message her on Instagram. The couple slowly fell in love with each other and are now set to get married soon.
Prior to becoming the 2025 Miss America, Stockard was best known for being a trained dancer, choreographer, and nursing student. She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.
