Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after spotting that Kostas Tsimikas has a black eye, as photos emerged from training.
What’s the story?
Well, someway or another, the £11.75m Liverpool man has suffered damage to his eye, which eagle-eyed fans noticed during a training session.
Photos from the AXA Training Centre shows Tsimikas with plenty of darkness and swelling around his right eye.
He was also seen to be having a laugh and a joke with Jürgen Klopp during the session.
Knowing the charismatic German, he probably had something to say about the bruising!

Unsurprisingly, supporters began to speculate about how Tsimikas suffered his black eye.
Three supporters jokingly accused Andy Robertson, as the pair are fighting for the left-back spot at Anfield this season.
Whatever happened, we just hope it was an accident, rather than a training ground bust-up among the Reds!
Have Liverpool treated Kostas Tsimikas fairly?

We mustn’t forget that the 14-cap Greece international was arguably Liverpool’s best player in the early weeks of the season.
With Robertson injured, Tsimikas stepped up to maintain the threat usually posed by the Scot, opposite Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Unfortunately, the 25-year-old was dropped as soon as Robertson returned.
On Saturday, the 53-cap Scotland international was quite poor against Brighton.
Robertson was at fault for Leandro Trossard’s goal, as he played everyone onside before letting the Belgian waltz past him with ease.

He was also put on his backside by Tariq Lamptey before the right-back assisted Trossard for a late winner – fortunately for Robertson, it was offside.
In our view, Tsimikas deserves a run of starts now, as the former Hull City full-back doesn’t really look himself.
For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the mysterious black eye…
