As the Saudi Pro League kicks off this weekend with a raft of new aces in the division, with world-class players being paid a world-class amount of money, who earns the most in the division?

5. Jordan Henderson

The former Liverpool midfielder made the move to Al-Ettifaq to link up with former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. According to 90min, where these wages are mentioned, Henderson will earn an incredible £692,000 a week at the Saudi side.

The 33-year-old could be the difference for Al-Ettifaq as they hope to compete with the league’s top four, who are owned by the PIF.

4. Riyad Mahrez

The Algerian winger, who has just helped Manchester City win the treble, completed a move to the Saudi side Al-Ahli this summer. The 32-year-old reportedly earns £865,000 a week at the Saudi side.

Mahrez was a favourite of Pep Guardiola and it is perhaps a surprise the former Leicester City winger has departed the Citizens.

3. N’Golo Kante

The French midfielder has been a bonafide Premier League icon in the past decade. After helping Leicester win the Premier League, he then moved to Chelsea and won a Premier League title as well as a UEFA Champions League trophy in 2021.

The Frenchman is set to earn a staggering £1.7 million a week at the Saudi side, in which it is likely he will line up next to former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

2. Karim Benzema

Perhaps the biggest signing of this transfer window. Benzema, who has won a multitude of La Liga’s and European Cups, decided this summer was the right time to depart the Spanish giants.

The Frenchman is set to earn £3.58 million a week at Al-Ittihad. The forward won a Ballon D’or last year and has now departed to the growing Saudi Pro League.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese forward arguably started the new trend of some of Europe’s top players making the move to the Saudi Pro League.

The former Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid forward is said to earn £3.6 million a week in a staggering deal.
