Whites star Pablo Hernandez sat down for an exclusive interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, and highlighted the pitfalls of coasting into the final stretch of the Championship campaign, stressing the need for him and his teammates to continue to give 100 per cent in every game.
The 31-year-old is currently on loan at Elland Road, but many Leeds fans are hoping that they manage to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.
The attacking midfielder has really impressed for Garry Monk’s side since he joined the club last summer, scoring four goals and chipping in with eight assists in 28 Championship appearances.
His fine performances have helped his side climb to fifth in the table, six points clear of seventh placed Sheffield Wednesday.
And the Spaniard explained how they must keep their levels of intensity up during the final stretch, if they want to secure their place inside the top six, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“It’s a mistake when some teams don’t play because they are safe or they have their place in the play-offs. When you relax and play one, two or three games not at 100 per cent, after that it’s difficult to change your mentality again. In all of the games you need to keep a strong mentality and always give 100 per cent on the pitch.”
The West Yorkshire outfit travel to Brentford tonight, before playing host to Preston North-End at the weekend, and a return of six points from those games would go a long way to securing their place inside the play-off spots come the end of the season.
