Leeds United teenager Alex Mowatt has the shirt of Jonny Howson to add to his collection.
Leeds United prospect Alex Mowatt has revealed he swapped shirts with former star Jonny Howson during the 1-1 draw with Norwich City.
Howson was making only his second league start of the season in the contest due to injuries, while Mowatt has been a regular of late for Leeds.
Only 19-years-old, Mowatt has been one of the club’s most impressive players of late, and is a regular under new head coach Darko Milanic.
Howson himself was a former Leeds captain, handed the privilege by then boss Gary McAllister when he was only 19, and at the time Mowatt would only have been 13.
Last night was the first time the pair went up against each other, or had even shared the same pitch.

Unlike Mowatt, Howson played the full 90 minutes, but the Leeds youngsters still managed to create two more chances than the Norwich star, and make one more interception.
Howson played a more controlled game in the middle and had by far more touches of the ball, with Norwich accumulating more than 62 per cent of possession.
It will have been a surreal moment for Mowatt playing against a player who was no doubt a hero of his – the challenge in front of him is to go on and have the type of career which one day leaves Howson cherishing the shirt he got in return, if indeed he asked for one.
