Whether they are going out on loan or being sold permanently who could be heading for the exit at White Hart Lane?
With Spurs flying high in the Premier League they are being linked with several players in order to maintain that excellent form and cement Champions League football next season. However with Daniel Levy at the helm you can be sure he wants to trim the wage bill first…
… so which five players could be sold or will head out on loan?
David Bentley
His loan spell in Russia was only half impressive as he struggled with injury in the latter stages of that spell and he has now returned from FC Rostov with his hopes of first-team football as slim as ever. A loan spell is obviously an option once again but Spurs might like to get shot of any clutter once and for all this January as Andre Villas Boas looks to continue his revolution. Bentley will have no problem with leaving; he showed his hunger for first team football by moving to Russia and that may persuade teams to give him a shot.
Iago Falque
The former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus youth product has impressed many with some of his turn-outs this season and seems to have gotten over his awful loan spell with Southampton this time last year. The Spanish under-21 international would not be short of potential suitors and whether on loan or a permanent move he should give serious thought about leaving White Hart Lane.tott
Andros Townsend
He has been used sporadically in the first-team so far this season and the 21-year-old may be starting to have doubts whether his career lies with Spurs. Another loan deal might be the last thing he wants after eight separate such deals in the past three years. A permanent move could be in the offing he pushed for it.
Tom Carroll
This is a talented individual of that there is no doubt but right now the first-team is a little bit of a step to far for the 20-year-old. He has previously enjoyed loan spells at Derby County and Leyton Orient and sending him out to gain similar first-team experience would be good for both the club and player.
Jermaine Jenas
Another source of clutter for AVB that he wants to be shot of. Jenas has varied success on his recent loan spells and Spurs will surely be seeking to rid themselves of the former England international on a permanent basis this January.
Would you let any of these players go in January?
