Several players have improved following Allardyce’s arrival at Everton.

With Everton having taken seven points out of a possible nine from his three Premier League games in charge, it’s clear that the club are moving in the right direction under Sam Allardyce.

The experienced manager has helped to bring the best out of several members of the Everton squad who were previously struggling, but which player has benefited the most from his arrival?

Wayne Rooney

Rooney has had some difficult moments since returning to Everton but his recent form has been hugely impressive – he has scored five goals in his last four games, with two of those strikes coming under Allardyce.

Allardyce has made it clear that Rooney has a major part to play in his side and the former England international has relished the responsibility that he has been afforded.

Ashley Williams

The centre-back, like many of his Everton team-mates, has made some costly errors this campaign.

However, Williams looks a player reformed under Allardyce and was a formidable presence at the back in the 1-0 victory over Newcastle United.

Gylfi Sigurdsson

A player with a vast amount of Premier League experience, Sigurdsson has really stepped up of late and has demonstrated that he could be a very useful asset for Everton.

Providing a threat from set-pieces and also possessing an impressive passing range, the Icelandic midfielder could really thrive under Allardyce’s guidance.

Idrissa Gueye

Gueye is now starting to resemble the player that performed so impressively when at Aston Villa.

Capable of breaking up play effectively and distributing short, snappy passes, the Senegal international is playing with increased confidence.

Morgan Schneiderlin

Allardyce is renowned for wanting his teams to be solid defensively and when at his best Schneiderlin is certainly capable of providing the requisite protection in front of the back four.

The midfielder is now starting to resemble the player that performed so consistently for Southampton as opposed to the one that wasn’t especially effective at Manchester United.

Overall

Lots of players have already benefited from working with Allardyce, but Sigurdsson is probably the one to have gained the most as he is now performing far more effectively than he was previously.
