Trevor Sinclair told talkSPORT during his live commentary stint (31/10/20) that he wanted Sebastien Haller substituted at half-time during West Ham’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday evening.

With Michail Antonio absent through injury, Haller came into the starting fold but he wasn’t able to have an impact on the game despite Liverpool playing with a debutant at centre-back.

Late into the second-half, David Moyes brought the Frenchman off, as the home team would go onto secure all three points.

Sinclair’s comments about Haller came during the half-time break when the scores were level and he clearly wasn’t happy with what he was seeing.

“For me, I am looking at Haller thinking ‘come on Sebastien give us a performance’,” Sinclair told talkSPORT.

“Let me see you getting the ball to feet, holding it up and bringing players into the play. I have not seen any of that.

“I would be considering bringing him off. Whether that upsets him or not. He is not bringing enough to the table.”

It’s been a tough time for Haller since his move to the Premier League last summer because he hasn’t been able to establish himself in West Ham’s starting line-up.

Last season, the situation West Ham found themselves in wasn’t his fault because there were problems bubbling away for some time.

All of that didn’t help his cause and it added extra pressure on his shoulders, and even though the Hammers have started off the campaign in a more positive fashion, he is still struggling to find some form.
