Niko Kranjcar and Harry Redknapp – who has now offered himself to Leeds – have became synonymous with each other over the years.
The Croatian spent time with the 75-year-old during spells at Portsmouth, Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers as the Englishman took a very strong liking to the man born in Zagreb.
As a result, many have joked about Kranjcar and Redknapp being joined at the hip, but what is the 38-year-old up to now as his old boss offers his services to the managerless Leeds United?
Where Niko Kranjcar is now as Harry Redknapp makes Leeds United offer
Well – according to the Mirror – Redknapp is ready to fill the vacancy at Elland Road as Leeds continue their search to replace Jesse Marsch.
If the unexpected does become reality and Leeds take Redknapp up on his offer, there is unfortunately no chance of Kranjcar being signed for a fourth time.

That is because the man who made 190 appearances under Redknapp retired from professional football after leaving Rangers in 2018.
Kranjcar now works as Assistant Manager to Josip Simunic in the Croatia Under-19 setup.
Of course, it is still possible, in that respect, that Redknapp hires the Croatian as his No.2 if he does take over from Marsch at Leeds, although we would presume that is highly unlikely to happen.
Despite many probably assuming that Redknapp and Kranjcar got on swimmingly, the latter has actually admitted to having a “love hate” relationship with his old boss.
Speaking to Played Up Pompey Three, he said: “I cannot say Harry Redknapp was the best manager I had – you forget my dad was my manager for Croatia! But Harry was one of the best.
“Is he a good man manager? I think we would all say yes and no. We actually had a love hate relationship throughout our career. There were times in my first season when I wasn’t in Pompey’s squad, the same thing happened at Spurs, the same happened at QPR, although I guess I was his lucky charm.”
If Redknapp does actually end up replacing Marsch at Leeds, those keen to witness him get the band back together will unfortunately not be seeing the Croatian in his midfield department at Elland Road.
