With Cardiff City sitting second bottom in the Championship after the opening 11 games, Paul Trollope was given his marching orders and replaced by Neil Warnock. The 67-year-old has wasted no time in making his mark on the squad; Sol Bamba, Marouane Chamakh, Junior Hoilett and Kieran Richardson have all been brought in this week.

Warnock’s first game in charge promises to be a fiery one, as Bristol City make the short trip over the Severn Bridge for a Friday night match under the lights at the Cardiff City Stadium. Having won each of their last three league matches, the Robins occupy a play-off place going into the clash in South Wales.
