It is now more than 10 years since Tottenham Hotspur last won a major trophy, beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final of the 2008 League Cup.

Didier Drogba gave the Blues the lead before half-time, but a Dimitar Berbatov penalty levelled the tie before Jonathan Woodgate scored the winner in extra-time.

A decade on, where are the Spurs players on their bench that day?

Radek Cerny

2007/08 would be the goalkeeper’s last season at White Hart Lane, having joined from Slavia Prague in January 2015. Cerny played just 28 times for Tottenham before joining QPR and then returning to his native Czech Republic before retiring in 2014.

Younes Kaboul

The centre-back replaced Robbie Keane in the 102nd minute in the final as the North Londoners looked to shore things up. Having only joined from Auxerre the previous summer, Kaboul left for Portsmouth in 2008, but returned in 2010 and went on to play 121 times for the club before leaving again, for Sunderland this time, in 2012. The 32-year-old is now at Watford.

Teemu Tainio

Finland international Tainio would also leave Tottenham the summer after this victory after three years at the club, but was also another who made it off the bench, replacing Steed Malbranque in the 75th minute. Now retired, the 38-year-old’s son, Maximus, is in the Spurs academy.

Tom Huddlestone

The third and final player who was substituted on, Huddlestone replaced Pascal Chimbonda after 61 minutes. Having joined from Derby County in 2005, the midfielder played 209 times for the North Londoners before leaving for Hull City in 2013 and is now back at boyhood club Derby.

Darren Bent

Signed from Charlton Athletic the previous summer for a then club record £16.5m (BBC), Bent scored 25 goals in 79 appearances before joining Sunderland and later Aston Villa and Derby. The 34-year-old now plays for relegation-threatened Burton Albion in the Championship.
