Romelu Lukaku has heaped praise on Liverpool’s transfer target and his Inter Milan teammate, Marcelo Brozovic, and the nature in which he plays out on the pitch.

The former Chelsea striker claimed about the midfielder ‘when you have to go to war, he is there’, as he posted on his Instagram story.

Liverpool fans have been questioning whether Jurgen Klopp will dip into the 2022 summer transfer market and sign another midfielder ahead of the September 1 deadline – they have been keeping tabs on Inter’s £106k-a-week man, Brozovic.

This talk was happening weeks and weeks ago, and now Thiago Alcantara is set to spend some time on the sidelines, it has just increased that talk.

At 29, Brozovic is at the top of his game, at the peak of his powers and a player that was instrumental in Antonio Conte helping the club win the Serie A title a number of seasons ago.

When Lukaku was asked to share his thoughts on the player, he stated that he can be ‘all jokes’ off the field, but pretty serious on it.

“We joke all day but when you have to go to war he is there,” Lukaku wrote on his IG story.

KLOPP NEEDS ANOTHER MIDFIELDER

Liverpool completed every single round last season when they played every game possible, walked away with a domestic double, and only lost the Premier League title on the final day, followed by heartache in Paris.

With Thiago injured, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffering the same problems since he stepped foot on Merseyside and three youngsters to choose from behind the likes of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

Then it’s probably wise that another experienced head is brought into the middle of the park because, as Luis Diaz’s January transfer proved, it can help lift the whole place.

The Reds aren’t the type of team that conduct their business late, however, when they want a player, then they go all out and do everything in their power to get that individual.
