Simon Jordan has blasted Sean Dyche for being a ‘hypocrite’ following his comments towards Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, as he told talkSPORT.
After Liverpool beat Burnley 2-0 on Saturday, Klopp wasn’t happy with some of the challenges from the opposing players.
Given that new rule changes have been brought into the Premier League this season, where so-called softer fouls aren’t given and the game is allowed to flow more.
It has brought back a bit more physicality to the game and Klopp didn’t like it, as he compared it to ‘wrestling’, as he told Sky Sports.
But what Dyche didn’t like about Klopp’s comments is the German singling out some of his players.
However, ex-Crystal Palace owner, Jordan, was quick to remind Dyche that he previously called out Mohamed Salah for being a ‘diver’, so he cannot then accuse Klopp of naming his players for their actions.
“The problem with Sean is that you have to remember what you say yourself,” said Jordan.
“When you called out Mohamed Salah for being a diver. You were specific and explicit. You can’t have it both ways.
“Of course, he’s not going to call out teams for their style of play because most of the teams that he plays against, and have this issue with his team, out-play them on football terms and not necessarily on physical terms.
“He is going to have difficulty saying ‘I hate the way his players were technically better’. Sean’s argument isn’t well made. He has got some hypocrisy with the point I have just made with Salah.
“He’s a hypocrite because he has done it himself. He called out Mohamed Salah for being a diver.”
It seems as though this won’t go away and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it is brought up again this season.
Both Klopp and Dyche have had their coming togethers before, including at Anfield last season.
And it won’t be a surprise if things are feisty come their reverse fixture at Turf Moor in 2022.
