Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media are over the moon after hearing Erik Lamela is reportedly leaving the club this summer.
The Argentine has been a fan favourite for years, but Spurs undoubtedly need to trim the fat in their squad this summer, and it seems as though supporters think his departure is good news.
To be fair, we can understand why. Tottenham have a ridiculous number of wingers in their squad, thus, Lamela isn’t one of the first names on the teamsheet these days.
It seems as though it’s only a matter of time before Lamela leaves the club as he and his wife have reportedly decided they want to return to Italy.
It remains to be seen where Lamela moves to, but it seems as though Tottenham fans are happy to get him off of their wage bill.
