After a unique season, EURO 2020 (or EURO 2021, as it probably should be called) is nearly upon us.

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, football should start to feel a little bit more normal as fans flood through the turnstiles to watch Europe’s best players.

So, let’s find out which teams will be partaking in the first game of EURO 2020, when is it on, and where is it being held?

Turkey vs Italy

The first game of EURO 2020 will see Turkey face Italy, in what should be a fantastic game involving some of Europe’s best players.

The likes of Paris Saint-Germain maestro Marco Verratti, Leicester colossus Çağlar Söyüncü and Juventus forward Federico Chiesa will be gracing the pitch, in what is a real treat of an opening game.

What day and what time?

The exciting clash will take place on Friday 11th June at 20:00 BST, for those of us in the United Kingdom.

Television rights for this tournament will be shared between ITV and the BBC, with the latter screening this particular encounter.

Where’s it being held?

Roberto Mancini’s men will take on Şenol Güneş’ side in Rome.

The game will take place inside AS Roma’s iconic Stadio Olimpico, where Liverpool won the 2018 Champions League semi-final.
