After a dramatic Round of 16 stage, the quarter-finalists for the Carabao Cup have been revealed with the draw set to take place this weekend.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, West Ham, Sunderland, Brentford, Leicester and Chelsea will soon be aware of their opponents.
Jürgen Klopp’s men dispatched Preston last night, whereas Spurs managed to swat Burnley aside at Turf Moor.
David Moyes managed to pull off an outstanding result in beating the holders Manchester City, while Arsenal overcame Leeds.
In Sunderland’s case, they beat QPR on penalties, the same way Chelsea and Leicester secured victory over Southampton and Brighton respectively.
When is the Carabao Cup draw?
All of the aforementioned sides will discover their fate on Saturday morning at 10:30am, when the draw takes place on Soccer AM.
It will be hosted by John Fendley, with Jimmy Bullard and Danny Mays also involved – the draw should end at midday.
How can you watch the Carabao Cup draw?
The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
For those of you without a Sky Sports subscription, the draw is expected to be shown on YouTube by Sky Sports, which is free to watch.
When will the Carabao Cup quarter-final take place?
The final eight will partake in their respective quarter-final clashes on the week commencing 20th December 2021.
Whoever progresses into the semi-final stage will play the first leg on the week commencing 3rd January 2022.
The second leg will then be held on the week of 10th January 2021.
When only two teams are left, they will battle it out at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27th February 2022, in what should be a very exciting game.
