Aaron Ramsdale has been speaking to BT Sport ahead of the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Interestingly, the £30m England international made a claim about Liverpool and Mohamed Salah during his chat alongside Rob Holding.
What’s the story?
Well, the 23-year-old shed light on just how popular the Egypt international is across the footballing world, and the impact that has had on his teammates at Anfield.
Speaking to BT Sport, Ramsdale said: “When I speak to the Liverpool lads, they’ve got about a million followers from Egypt purely from Salah!”
It goes without saying that the 29-year-old has become a global superstar at Liverpool, not just in the world of sports.
Salah is approaching 50 million followers on Instagram, which is up there with some of the most influential figures on the planet.
The Liverpool No.11 has also been on the cover of Time magazine, so we can’t imagine he’ll be short of opportunities when he eventually retires.
Arsenal could’ve signed Mohamed Salah before Liverpool move

Back in 2017, Arsenal were also in the running to sign Salah from Roma.
The Times believe Liverpool were expecting a transfer battle with the Gunners, although Arsenal felt the Egyptian was too wasteful in front of goal and withdrew their interest.
That gave Jürgen Klopp a free run at Salah, and a £34m deal was sealed that summer.

Now, the ex-Chelsea man is a bonafide Liverpool legend, having scored 155 goals in 245 appearances for the Reds.
The Times add that Liverpool were shocked to see the north Londoners withdraw their interest, and were amazed at Arsenal’s decision.
Had the Gunners been a bit more daring, Salah may well have been an Arsenal icon right now.
