Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has told the club’s official website that there is enough quality among the players to get their season back on track.

The Hoops are not doing well in the Scottish Premiership or in the Europa League at the moment.

Neil Lennon’s side are second in the league table with 30 points from 13 matches, as many as 11 points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 15 games.

Celtic are at the bottom of Europa League Group H with just a point from three matches and are in danger of not progressing to the knockout rounds of the European competition.

McGregor told the club’s official website: “We’ve had a really successful spell with the club, the players, the management, the club as a whole – everyone who works for the club – and we’re all desperate to continue that success.

“And when I look in the dressing room, I see enough quality and enough hunger to go and have another successful season. We’ve had a little bit of a blip, but it’s now down to the players, the management, the club as a whole, everyone to rally round each other, and for the support to continue.”

Getting back on track

Celtic are not having the best of seasons, but they have a very strong squad and players who have been winning trophies for a while.

The Bhoys have won the league title in Scotland for the past nine seasons and know how to bounce back.

It is only November, and there is more than enough time for Celtic to reduce the gap between themselves and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
