Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Crysencio Summerville has been discussing the Leeds United fanbase.
The Dutch winger hasn’t played all that many games for the Leeds first team, but he’s already experienced what the United fans can be like when they’re at their best.
Indeed, his late goal against Liverpool last weekend sparked frenzied scenes in the away end at Anfield, and Summerville absolutely loved it.
In fact, the youngster says that Leeds fans are the best set of fans he’s ever seen in his life, commending them for their undying commitment to the club.

Best fans
Summerville heaped praise upon the fanbase.
“When I came here I heard about the fans, but now I’ve experienced it on the pitch. For me, the Leeds fans are the best I’ve seen in my life. The crowd is supporting us everywhere, even in London, Australia, Spain. No matter where, the fanbase is so big. They show so much love and support every time. Even when we were close to relegation last year, every game a full stadium. That’s what I love about Leeds fans they keep supporting us every game,” Summerville said.
One of a kind
There’s plenty of people who have plenty to say about Leeds fans, but there’s one thing you have to admit, they’re one of a kind.
There aren’t many fanbases that would follow their club from the Champions League down to League One with the same type of passion, and now that Leeds are back in the Premier League, Elland Road is louder than ever.
Summerville says that United supporters are the best he’s ever seen, and even with a long and prosperous career ahead of him, it may take a lot for any fanbase to usurp the Elland Road faithful in Summerville’s personal rankings.
