Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have a 14 goal young striker in Andrew Dallas.

If you’re good enough, you’re old enough. That’s a common adage in football and one that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard seems to believe.
The Rangers manager hasn’t been afraid to reward some young players with first-team football this season, with Glenn Middleton a prime example of Gerrard’s courage.
Despite being only 18, Middleton has been a big hit at Ibrox this season, netting five goals in all competitions – including one in the Europa League defeat by Spartak Moscow.
Fortunately, the Gers have plenty more young and exciting talent in the reserves and you wonder whether Andrew Dallas could be the next to be given a shot under Gerrard.
The 19-year-old forward has managed 14 goals in 13 reserve games this season.
Sure, there’s a big difference between the reserves and the seniors, but the 38-year-old manager should at least test Dallas in the big time before January comes.
It looks likely that Gerrard will terminate Umar Sadiq’s loan and send him back to Roma.
That will free up space for someone to compete with Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty, and where’s the harm in trying Dallas out until a more established striker is found? Where’s the harm in including Dallas in a few matchday squads before now and February?
If he does the business when called upon then it could save Rangers a lot of money in the January window.
Dallas isn’t old enough, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t good enough.
