Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Leon Balogun is set to join Steven Gerrard’s side.

Rangers have agreed to sign Balogun on a free transfer this summer, according to The Daily Record.

It has been reported that the 32-year-old Nigeria international defender has agreed a two-year contract with the Ibrox club.

The defender is a free agent after his loan spell at Wigan Athletic from Brighton and Hove Albion ended.

The report in The Daily Record has claimed that the announcement to sign Balogun could be made as early as this afternoon.

With Nikola Katic injured, Rangers did need to sign cover at the back, and it seems that they have decided to bring in Balogun.

The Nigeria international is a very experienced defender, although he failed to make an impact at Brighton in England and struggled for playing time.

Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the Gers are about to announce the signing of Balogun.
