Richarlison has jokingly claimed on Instagram that Aston Villa were lucky to win 3-0 over the weekend.
Replying to Douglas Luiz on Instagram after the result, the Brazilian international humorously told the Villa star that the Midlands side got lucky against Everton.
Villa scored three goals past the hour mark to secure a 3-0 win over the Toffees. Richarlison missed the game, though, due to injury, which will keep the attacker out for a few weeks.
With Richarlison and Luiz good friends from Brazil, it is understandable why the two enjoy such good banter on social media. The duo both played for the South American nation this year in the Tokyo Olympics.
Indeed, the two players have both got off to interesting starts in the Premier League this season. Richarlison’s Everton side were unbeaten in the division before their trip to Villa.
Luiz’s side, meanwhile, have had a mixed spell so far this campaign. But their 3-0 win over Everton could be the catalyst that ignites their form for the coming weeks.
Whilst the post was nothing more than a bit of fun, some Villa fans on social media were fuming with what Richarlison had to say about Saturday’s result.
