Leeds United prospect has been curiously absent.

Confusion exists over the future of exciting Leeds United talent Oriol Rey.
The Spanish starlet did not feature in either of Leeds’ friendlies this week, despite the Whites giving ample chances to young players in their under-18s and under-23s.
Rey signed for Leeds from Barcelona in 2017 and his first season at the club went well, he played a starring role for the under-23s.
When Marcelo Bielsa was appointed, it was speculated that Rey could have a starring role.
He was a former Barcelona talent, able to play at either centre-back or central midfield.
An underwhelming pre-season last year saw him loaned out on Spanish side Conquense.

As of the start of July, his Instagram page showed he was still in Spain, rather than showing off pictures from Leeds’ training ground.
Rey is under contract at Leeds until 2020. Perhaps he is injured? Or possibly just unwanted.
If the latter is the case, then that’s a real shame.
