Ashley Young has sat down with the media team at Aston Villa to partake in an interview, ahead of the Premier League clash with Norwich on Saturday.
The 36-year-old was speaking at Bodymoor Heath, where he received a rather rude interruption thanks to the ground staff.
What’s the story?
Well, those in charge of keeping the training pitches at Bodymoor Heath in pristine condition left Young soaked, as they switched on the sprinklers during his interview.
You can see footage of the incident below.
Understandably, the England international was stunned, as he jokingly exclaimed: “What’s happening here?!”
Young then asked who the culprit was, before continuing to express his disbelief at what just happened to him.
It was all in good spirits, however, as the Stevenage-born winger failed to hold in his laughter when attempting to resume the interview.
Aston Villa love Ashley Young

When the former Manchester United star returned to Villa Park back in June, there were plenty of question marks over whether he could still perform in the Premier League.
Young turns 37 in July, and few outfield players continue to star in the Premier League after the age of 35.
However, it seems Aston Villa are more than happy with the experienced utility player, as The Times believe they are in talks to extend his contract.
Young’s current terms expire in June, but Steven Gerrard has now made it clear that he values his No.18 highly, and wants him to stay.

The Times quote him as saying: “There have already been discussions. I’ve made it clear to Ash that I want him to stay around. The key to this will always be the player.”
So far this season, Young has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Villans, and even if his playing time is reduced next term, his experience in the dressing room will be vital.
Keep an eye on this situation, as an announcement could be made soon.
