Danhausen and the New York Knicks has been one of the more fun elements of WWE in recent weeks.

The popular WWE superstar has been all over social media as the Knicks made their way through the NBA playoffs and eventually won out in five games against the San Antonio Spurs this weekend to be crowned NBA champions.

A lot of Danhausen’s shenanigans have centred around his ‘cursing’ and ‘uncursing’ of both the Knicks and Spurs during that run.

In the main, it’s helped Danhausen’s popularity surge and now, WWE are looking to take advantage.

WWE to build around Danhausen and Madison Square Garden appearance

Danhausen is already a major star in WWE and the merchandise numbers of late very much show that what he is doing is working.

We’ve also seen more in-ring appearances in recent times as well, pointing to WWE being very much invested in their man.

Now, with WWE’s Main Event show coming to Madison Square Garden in July, it’s being reported that the company are planning to have the show very much centred around Danhausen.

There are suggestions of potential ticket packages for Knicks fans focused on Danhausen, while the company are also said to be exploring a way of having him included in any upcoming parades with the Knicks to feed their social media content.

As it stands, it looks like the WWE machine is very much behind Danhausen and in fairness, those Knicks fans will be wanting to keep him around as long as possible.

Quite how the storyline and opponent might work is open to debate. But right now, Danhausen + Knicks = Money. And at the end of the day, that’s what matters to TKO.
