Celtic’s Jozo Simunovic is most at risk of being sold if conflicting reports about Vujadin Savic are true.

According to The Daily Record, Celtic have enquired about signing Red Star Belgrade centre-back Vujadin Savic this summer.
It seems like Celtic’s interest is a matter of debate, but what can’t be debated is that Brendan Rodgers most probably intends on selling one centre-back if the Northern Irishman is interested in Savic.

And from what we’ve seen in recent months, Jozo Simunovic could probably consider himself most at risk of being offloaded by Rodgers.
The Celtic boss already has an abundance of centre-back options – including Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata, Kristoffer Ajer, Jack Hendry and Marvin Compper – and bringing in another one makes no sense unless Rodgers has plans on letting one go.

Simunovic, rated at £7 million by The Daily Mail in January, has had a very disappointing last three or four months and if Rodgers wants to sell a central defender then only he or Boyata makes sense. The Belgian is by no means a superb defender, but he is the lesser or two evils in relation to Simunovic at the moment.
The Croatia Under-21 international has been linked with moves away from Parkhead in each of the last two transfer windows, and if the Savic link turns out to be accurate then he might just go in the next one.
