The Italian wing-back is being targeted by Spurs, according to reports.
Leonardo Spinazzola
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tracks on Italian full-back Leonardo Spinazzola, according to reports in Italy.
It is reported by Calcio News 24 that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is interested in the player. The 23-year-old can play at both left-back and on the left-wing, playing his best football when teams play three at the back. This is a system Pochettino is looking to use on a regular basis and is behind the interest.
But what does this apparent interest mean for Tottenham’s already present and competent left-back options. Danny Rose has been one of the best left-backs in the league this season whilst Ben Davies has recently shown some of his best form in a Spurs shirt.

But Tottenham are playing with a wing-back system now and Pochettino may see Spinazzola as simply more suited to that role.
Tottenham are very unlikely to sell Rose, who himself started out as a winger. Davies on the other hand may be in trouble. But for Wales he plays as a centre-back in a back three so perhaps the arrival of Spinazzola would not have much of a negative impact on the current left-back options at White Hart Lane.
