Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keen on Milad Mohammadi, but what does it mean for Myles Beerman if they get him?
Rangers are interesting in signing a World Cup participant this summer, if rumours are believed.
The Scottish Sun reckon that Rangers are keen on Iran international left-back Milad Mohammadi.
If a move goes through, the Akhmat Grozny defender will cost the Gers a reported £2 million.
But if a transfer materialses then it could have negative implications for one Rangers man: Myles Beerman.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that Beerman was starting for the Ibrox outfit in Old Firm games against Celtic, but the 19-year-old hasn’t kicked a ball for Rangers since the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
It hasn’t been looking very promising for the three-time Malta international, but he needs regular football and a move for Mohammadi would simply push him further down the pecking order, behind Declan John, Lee Wallace and the Iranian.
Beerman, who faced Celtic twice when Pedro Caixinha originally came in 17 months ago, must have a taste for regular football but it’s very unlikely that he’ll get it under Steven Gerrard this season, so he should, if he isn’t already, consider leaving the club.
