Has Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce finally realised Mile Jedinak isn’t a centre-back?

It looks like Aston Villa have turned their attentions toward Harold Moukoudi.
According to The Daily Mail, Aston Villa have made an offer to sign the Le Havre centre-back – valued at £6 million – on a season-long loan.
And if it goes through, manager Steve Bruce will delight the fans for two reasons.
Not only is Moukoudi a very good centre-back, and a France Under-20 international, but it’s a move that would also have implications for Mile Jedinak – bad ones.
Bruce has insisted on playing the Australian midfielder beside James Chester in central defence this season and it’s clear that if he persists with that experiment all season, it could be at the detriment of Aston Villa’s promotion hopes.
However, the reported move for Moukoudi indicates that not only has Bruce acknowledged that Jedinak must be axed from the first XI, but he’s willing to get another body in before Friday’s deadline.
Jedinak, 34, is an excellent midfielder, and despite losing his place there, his experience will be massive for the Villans this season.
But a centre-half he is not and the prospect of Moukoudi playing alongside Chester is much better for Villa’s chances of reaching the Premier League.
